Question 14: WHAT IS GND? CAN I CONNECT IT TO THE EARTH?
Answer: GND on the converters is the Signal Ground, connect GND of the converters and that of the other RS-485/RS-422 devices together for more reliable communications over a long distance. Do not connect GND to Earth.
